Kathy Allen has over 20 years’ experience in the leadership and consulting arena with a focus on the customer experience and service sectors.

She has demonstrated expertise in talent management and acquisition, human resources management, instructional design, program implementation, international business, and organizational effectiveness.

One of four Ascension trainers Kathy provides instructional training design support and actively runs Ascension Performance Excellence workshops in the customer service, business communication. and sales effectiveness areas.

Prior to joining Ascension, Ms. Allen worked as a talent and leadership consultant in a variety of industries, including hospitality, manufacturing, education, healthcare and telecommunications. Kathy started her career with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, rapidly advancing into senior operations, training, and human resources management positions.

As an international training director, she was charged with staffing and integrating the world-renowned Ritz-Carlton culture throughout Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, and she was part of the team that helped the company achieve the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.

Following her tenure at the Ritz Carlton organization Kathy worked as a consultant to the Four Seasons Hotel chain focused on instructional design in the areas of coaching, business writing, and presentation skills.

Additionally Allen also worked with Performance Solutions HR Consulting on a diversity and organizational change initiative and helped a major gas/pipeline company expand into the telecommunications arena. Additionally she served as a consultant for Franklin Covey Company, facilitating the organization’s top leadership development programs including The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, the Advantage Series, and Focus programs.

During her career, Allen’s design of new employee on-boarding programs within healthcare has been honored by industry analysts as best in class.

Ms. Allen is based in Atlanta and holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Shorter University.
