Harriette has a strong and well-rounded approach to strategic marketing and customer relationship management bringing over 10 years’ experience as a marketing professor. She helps Ascension clients with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) as well as Marketing Strategy and Analytics.

Dr. Bettis-Outland spent ten years at IBM in Atlanta, Georgia, then transitioned into marketing account management in the manufacturing and distribution industries.  Her clients included Ford Motor Company, Coca Cola, Delta Airlines, Milliken, Michelin, Komatsu Manufacturing, Mead Paper Company, as well as other Fortune 100 firms.  She was a frequent speaker at Executive Breakfasts at many locations in the southeastern U.S. and was recognized with numerous awards during her time at IBM.

Harriette is a tenured Associate Marketing Professor at the University of West Florida, in Pensacola, Florida and previously taught at the Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences, located in Mikkeli, Finland.  She has written many marketing publications, in both peer-reviewed research journals along with corporate industry publications.  In addition, Dr. Bettis-Outland presented at numerous academic conferences including those held at the Harvard Business School, MIT Sloan School of Business, Freie University (Berlin, Germany) and at the University Torcuato Di Tella (Buenos Aires, Argentina).

Dr. Bettis-Outland received her MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and her Ph.D. in Marketing from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia.
